Ok Ok...so I've been remiss in keeping our website up-to-date. I sincerely apologize for the lapse in responsibility. BUT...that time has passed and our website has been updated at last. Shorebreak now has a new website address. We have tried for years to acquire shorebreak.com, with no luck. We have moved to shorebreak.us, and intend to keep this one moving forward. The band's members have new email addresses as well.
Much has transpired since our founding in 1996. The band continues to perform primarily at private functions these days, but still plays occasionally at the Hukilau restaurants in the Bay Area. I will be returning to the Bay Area at the conclusion of my contract with NCLA in May 2008. ShoreBreak will be revamping our reportoire, retiring older material and updating to more current songs of interest as well as adding Hawaiian classics that we've always wanted to perform. We will also be addressing the possibility of recording our first album in the 2008-2009 timeframe. We have talked about it for years and schedules have made it difficult to accomplish this goal. For those bands that have undertaken this arduous endevour, you know the time and resource commitment to make this happen. However, it would be a fine memento to mark the accomplishments of the band all these years, so we're gonna make a concerted effort to get this done.
On a side note, please take the time to visit our new and improved Fan Club section, which features the latest blogging technology. In our efforts to get closer to our fans, we've established this section to promote interaction with our fan base. Feel free to drop us a line and we'll get back to you and/or comment as appropriate.
Lastly, the website, along with graphics, was created by myself with the assistance of the band as to content. Band photos have been provided by our percussionist (thanks again Reis!). If you're looking for a photographer for your occasion/event, feel free to contact Reis at reis.santana@shorebreak.us. I will be sending out an email in the next few weeks offering my web design services to anyone who might be interested in establishing a professional web presence.
